We check the seams

The world of interior design is bubbling with innovation and renewal. But in a jungle of possibilities, there is also the uncertainty of making the right choice of interior design, because there are plenty of pitfalls - believe us. With almost 50 years of experience in the world of interior design, where we choose products and suppliers every day, we have encountered many of them.

But, you should learn from your mistakes - and not make them again. That's why, in 2018, we developed our own method for identifying and separating the good suppliers from the less good - and the really bad. This has made it easier for us to guide you as a customer to make wise choices of both furniture and producers that are good for everyone.

We call this method the SSR - Supplier Sustainability Review. It helps us in our daily work and broadens our knowledge of our suppliers. For you, this means that you can feel confident in your choices when you work with us.

Our approach to ensuring sustainable supply chains

The SSR gives us an in-depth insight into the sustainability performance of our suppliers. We know that our responsibility starts long before the product reaches you. By auditing every step of the supply chain, we can ensure that our high ethical and sustainability standards are met. This is a recurring process, where we and our suppliers work together to reduce our negative impact on people and the environment.

We assess suppliers from a broad sustainability perspective, covering people, environment and economy. Special focus is placed on social responsibility. Our starting point is to ensure compliance with Möbelfakta's requirements for sustainable supply chains and our own code of conduct.

Through curious questions about the circular transition, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the products' climate data, we create an open dialogue with our suppliers. This collaboration leads to knowledge sharing and a deeper understanding of each other's challenges and solutions.

To ensure sustainable interior design solutions that can last for many years, we annually review our purchasing volume using the SSR.

Transparency and accountability

This work gives us clarity on where production takes place and where raw materials come from. This insight is crucial to ensure that international sanctions are respected and that operations in high-risk countries are carefully scrutinized. We want our products to be manufactured under conditions that meet high environmental, ethical and social standards.

If we identify shortcomings or risks, we initiate improvement work to understand and support the supplier in their challenges. Our experience from hundreds of supplier dialogues allows us to help guide the industry towards a more sustainable future.

We conduct site visits and have a continuous dialog to verify that the picture we get from the supplier is correct.

Through transparent dialog and mutual respect, together we contribute to a more sustainable world of interiors.

With SSR, you can trust that we at Senab are doing what we can to contribute to a sustainable future - where people, the planet and the economy will feel good. Together we see the seams and create conditions so that more people can take responsibility for a better world of interior design.
