We were entrusted with the project management and delivery of the interior design solutions for the Lindahl law firm in Malmö. Working closely with the architects at Elding Oscarson, we created a working environment that both honors the building's history and meets Lindahl's modern requirements for aesthetics and functionality.

Lindahl's Malmö office moved into its new premises in the summer of 2024 in the historic Snickeriet located in Varvsstaden, the old Kockums area in Malmö.
In the summer of 2024, Advokatfirman Lindahl moved into its new office in the heart of Varvsstaden, Malmö. The area has over 100 years of industrial history and is undergoing an exciting transformation into a modern city district. It was home to Kockums Mekaniska Verkstad, founded in 1840, which was once one of Sweden's largest engineering industries and the shipyard manufactured some of the world's largest cargo ships in the 1950s and 60s. In this historic setting, in the old Kockums joinery from 1870, Lindahl has now created a dynamic and inspiring workplace that reflects both the company's growth and faith in the future.
Lindahl's own history dates back to 1918, when Alf Lindahls Advokatbyrå was founded in Stockholm. Today, Lindahl is one of the leading law firms in Sweden, and their new office in Snickeriet is a natural step in their continued development.
About the mission
In close collaboration with the architects at Elding Oscarson, Senab has been responsible for the delivery of both all loose furnishings and special joinery to the office. Our task was to ensure that every detail harmonized with the architect's vision and Lindahl's high demands on functionality and aesthetics.
As with all projects, we created a detailed schedule that, once presented and approved by Lindahl, could guide everyone involved through the project. The plan provided a clear overview for reuse, orders, moving, deliveries, assembly and furnishing.
Before the move from their previous office, we made a thorough inventory of the entire office and furniture to determine what should be moved to Varvsstaden. Through thorough documentation and photo registration, we were able to give Lindahl a clear overview of their inventory.
To ensure efficiency, we used a digital service for the inventory, which facilitated both planning and post-occupancy follow-up.
Extra life to Lindahl's existing furniture
We also helped Lindahl coordinate the repair and restoration of their existing furniture that could be reused. One example was the dining room furniture from Källemo. We arranged a site visit with the manufacturer at the customer's old office, where we went through what needed to be adjusted, and then ensured that the furniture was given a new lease of life and could be redelivered in time for the move-in.
Reuse is a natural part of our offering, it always has been, more or less since Senab started in 1975. Back then, the focus was perhaps more on saving money - but today we focus much more on effectively minimizing resource waste and promoting circular business models in all projects.
The final result
The Lindahl Law Firm project is an excellent example of how older, characterful premises can be transformed into modern workplaces without losing their soul. By reuse using materials such as brick and retaining wood and steel structures, they have achieved an office with a fine balance between old and new - not least with the help of thoughtful furniture and interior design choices.
