Skandia
When Skandia decided to update its headquarters in Stockholm, sustainability and long-term quality were key.
The project, which covered over 16,000 square meters and around 1,000 workplaces, was carried out with a focus on creating a modern workplace that combines existing solutions with new design. The result is an inspiring environment where employees and customers meet and develop - an office that truly lives the company's values.

Background
Skandia is one of Sweden's leading players in occupational pensions, savings and mortgages. With 1.9 million customers and long-term commitments to both customers and society, sustainability is central to the company.
When it came time to update their Stockholm headquarters in 2024, the goal was clear: create a work environment that reflects Skandia's values and inspires both work and collaboration. The project was carried out in stages to minimize disruption to Skandia's operations.
The challenge
Updating an office in operation always presents logistical challenges. For Skandia, the goal was not only to add new design but also to reuse as much of the existing furniture as possible. By reupholstering and refurbishing furniture, we could combine sustainability with economic benefits. This required precision and flexibility in all parts of the project - from planning to delivery and assembly.
At the same time, the project was put out to tender by other players. Senab's ability to combine solid experience, expertise in sustainability and a strong customer relationship were decisive factors in winning the assignment.
The collaboration between Skandia's internal project group and our working group was characterized by a strong commitment and a common pursuit of a long-term approach in all details
The final result
Skandia's new headquarters is a harmonious combination of new and preserved, where every detail has been carefully chosen. The existing spaces, still of high quality, are linked with modern additions in warm color tones and with functional solutions.
The result is a workplace that reflects Skandia's long-term values and ambitions. Employees have been provided with an inspiring environment that promotes both productivity and well-being, while the project demonstrates the power of sustainable design and thoughtful project management.
Skandia Stockholm is yet another example of how Senab uses creativity, collaboration and a clear focus on sustainability to create working environments that last for generations.
